Welcome to EduStar LMS. We are deeply committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our learners, educators, and visitors. This Privacy Policy governs your use of the EduStar Android application (com.edustar.app) and our integrated cloud educational services.
By using EduStar, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, advertising networks, or data brokers.
In strict compliance with the Google Play Data Safety declaration, EduStar collects only the necessary data required to provide a seamless learning experience:

Encryption in Transit
All data transmitted between the EduStar Android application, Google Cloud servers, and Cloud Firestore is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS) protocols.
EduStar offers optional digital consumable goods (Star Packages) allowing learners to unlock premium courses and send educational gifts.
- No Direct Payment Processing: EduStar does not store, process, or have access to your credit card numbers, debit cards, bank accounts, or billing addresses.
- Google Play Exclusivity: All financial transactions are securely processed directly by Google Play Billing via official Google APIs.
- Server-Side Verification: Digital purchases are cryptographically verified against the official Google Play Developer API using a dedicated Google Cloud Service Account to guarantee authentic purchase delivery.
EduStar respects your right to be forgotten. In accordance with Google Play's Account Deletion Policy, users can request the complete and permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal data at any time.
Option A: How to Request Deletion In-App (Recommended)

Open Profile Tab
Launch EduStar app and tap the Me tab on the bottom navigation bar.

Open Settings
Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon located on the top floating bar.

Request Deletion
Under the Account card, select Request Account Deletion or email our support desk.
Option B: Request Deletion via Web Form
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, submit your account deletion request directly using the secure web form below:
Data Retention and Deletion Timeline
- Data Deleted: Your profile details (Name, Email, Username), Authentication credentials, Uploaded avatar photos, Enrolled course linkages, and Star Wallet transaction histories.
- Deletion Timeline: Records are permanently removed within 7 to 30 days of verified request receipt.
- Retention Exceptions: Essential transaction identifiers (e.g., Google Play Order IDs) may be retained in anonymized format strictly as required by law, taxation, or dispute resolution.
To deliver high-performance LMS infrastructure, EduStar utilizes trusted cloud service partners that adhere to strict data privacy standards:
- Google Play Services & Google Identity: Used for secure OAuth authentication and Credential Manager.
- Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore: Used for real-time course syncing, user profiles, and database persistence.
- Firebase Cloud Storage: Used for optimized image caching and profile avatars.
